The Ontario government will offer an overview of India’s manufacturing sector and outline opportunities for Ontario-based businesses to support India’s plans to establish itself as a global manufacturing hub by providing cutting-edge products and services to Indian system integrators and manufacturers.
India’s manufacturing sector is predicted to reach C$1.3 trillion by 2025. The Indian government aims to spearhead growth by sourcing Industry 4.0 technologies from local and international companies, including advanced analytics, big data, automation, robotics, AI and IoT.
India also intends to increase the share of the manufacturing sector to 25 percent of its GDP by 2025 and adopt global manufacturing standards. Through this shift to Industry 4.0, the country hopes to enhance production capacity and quality, improve cost savings and customer experience, tighten the supply chain and reduce lead times.
